Sixteen actually! We’re not talking tea, we’re talking cams….
With the workshop returned to an acceptable temperature, we decided this very morning it was time to pull the motor from the Rough Diamond altered in order to freshen it up, and correct a couple of ‘issues’. This must have been a good omen’ as no sooner than a wrench went on the car a courier arrived with a package. You know, the sort of package that comes from the USA….. containing ‘goodies’.
The arrival of the new cam-shaft wasn’t expected for at least two more weeks! An order had been placed just ten days ago with Cam Motion in Baton Rouge. The individually made cam-shaft has been custom ground and shipped in record time. O.k., we splashed out on an extra 10 bucks for expedited FedEx, but we didn’t expect such a brilliant service!
